PLATFORM

PLATFORM is a unique online space that will showcase new voices in poetry, hosted by Faber and launching in spring 2027.

It offers a way to celebrate outstanding English-language contemporary poetry from poets who have yet to publish a full-length collection. PLATFORM embraces digital possibilities. It encourages distinctive, dynamic and innovative work that will be shared on the platform for free with audiences around the world.

PLATFORM will publish two releases a year, in spring and autumn. Each release will feature three poets, each with a set of poems and accompanying contextual material. Poets will be paid £300 for their contribution.

Please note that this is a separate enterprise to Faber Poetry and there is no connection to the submission process for the Faber Poetry list.

A submissions window will open on National Poetry Day for one month: from 1 October to 31 October 2026. Full details here. The first release, PLATFORM 1, will launch in spring 2027.

PLATFORM welcomes submissions of English-language poetry from poets based anywhere in the world who have yet to publish a full-length poetry collection. Poets must be aged over eighteen.

Submissions open: Thursday 1 October 2026.

Submissions close: Midnight on Saturday 31 October 2026.

Please review our criteria below and, once submissions are open, please email your work to [email protected]. We regret that we are unable to accept postal submissions.

Please send up to ten examples of your poetry. If you are chosen as one of the three poets, we will make a selection from this material to feature on PLATFORM.

Please include your full name, contact number and a short biography in your email along with your submission.

Please submit your work either as one single Word document or as a single PDF. Please include your name on every page and number the pages.

Poems must be written predominantly in English.

Poems must be previously unpublished online or in print.

We believe in the power of human creation. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the creation of an entry is prohibited. In the event that it is determined that AI has been used to create a submission, the submission shall immediately be removed from consideration.

We welcome entries that move beyond the printed page and embrace the possibilities of a digital space.

We will ask the selected poets to provide an audio recording of themselves reading their poems to accompany the written version, for accessibility reasons. We can offer technological assistance with this.

We will invite the selected poets to share a headshot and contextual material related to their poetry.

The selected poets will be invited to perform at a launch in spring 2027 either in person or online.

All submissions received within the submission period will receive a response with our decision. We are unable to enter into any further correspondence regarding your submission or to offer editorial feedback.

All poetry submitted is treated as confidential.

Copyright remains with the poet and Faber will enter into an agreement with the selected poets for the right to publish the work on PLATFORM as described above.

Please note that PLATFORM is a separate enterprise to Faber Poetry and there is no connection to the submission process for the Faber Poetry list nor commitment offered that the poets featured on PLATFORM will be published by Faber Poetry.

Faber reserves the right to amend these guidelines at any time.

Who can submit to PLATFORM?

We welcome submissions from poets anywhere in the world, provided you are over eighteen and have not yet published a book-length poetry collection.

What language should the poems be written in?

Poems must be written predominantly in English.

Can I submit previously published work?

No. All submitted poems must be previously unpublished, both online and in print.

Can I use AI to help write my poems?

No. We believe in the power of human creation. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) to create your poetry is strictly prohibited. Submissions found using AI will be immediately removed from consideration.

Please send up to ten examples of your poetry. These must be sent as one single Word document or PDF. To help our team, please number your pages and include your name on every page.

Where do I send my submission?

What else should I include in my email?

Alongside your poetry document, please include your full name, contact number and a short biography in the body of the email.

Will I hear back about my submission?

Yes, all submissions received within the open window will receive a response with our decision. However, please note that we cannot enter into further correspondence or offer individual editorial feedback on your work.

For the selected poets

What happens if my work is chosen?

A selection of your submitted poems will be featured on PLATFORM. We will invite you to share a headshot and contextual material about your poetry. You will also be invited to perform at our hybrid launch event in spring 2027.

Do I need to provide an audio recording?

Yes. For digital accessibility, we will ask selected poets to provide an audio recording of themselves reading their featured poems. We can offer technological assistance if needed.

Who owns the rights to my poems?

Copyright remains with you. Faber will enter into an agreement with the selected poets to publish the chosen work on PLATFORM.
